Its soon to be Mango Season, the Joys of Ghana

Hello family and friends,
I hope this letter finds you well. Things are going great in Ghana its been raining small small, but its amazing! things are getting so much cleaner I want you to imagine a thick layer of reddish dust on everything and I mean everything, like I have to wipe off my desk in my room everyday, so when the rain comes during the dry season its so nice, from what they are telling me its coming to a close but I'm not sure.

It looks like mango season is quickly approaching, which happens to be my favorite thing here among pineapple, I have one everyday haha its soooo good, tastes nothing like the ones we have back home they are so sweet its just weird they almost seem fake but they are amazing.

My companion and I are doing great we are sending off some great elders to sierra leone its sad, but their going to do great things I will get pictures of them next week,  a lot of them are the Elders I came out with from the MTC,  I'm sad to see them go.

I'm loving the office, things are just clicking along weeks seriously move like so fast its crazy, I feel like I just arrived in my new area Daban and looking at my planner its already week 6 hah wow I cant believe it, this week will be another busy week so things are just crazy.

We run in the mornings, I don't think I'll ever again be  running among so many banana and plantain trees, its like the equivalence to the oak trees in Cali, they are just everywhere.  I love it,  I will miss that someday I'm sure, every morning I get up I take a look over the city and just feel love for the people I serve.

I love my mission its been the hardest thing I've ever done but I see what good it has done for me and what it has helped me to become and I still have a lot to go and do.
I'm excited for the future, I will never again constantly be sweating and in such humidity, so I'm learning to love it while I'm here.

I've been reading the Book of Mormon again but this time our mission president has asked that we underline any thing that alludes to Jesus Christ, its been wonderful to see the book in a new light and see how many times it truly testifies of the savior, I always knew that but it seems that I've seen it in a new light. I love this gospel and know it to be true.  I testify of a loving father in heaven and of Jesus Christ our Savior and redeemer I testify of the truthfulness of the book of mormon and  invite all to exercise faith, to take the book, read it and ask  if its true, its a simple thing to do but it requires one to have faith and to ask with real intent holding nothing back but I do know of its surety and truth and invite you if you have not before to take the book Of Mormon and and read it, ask God if its from him. I know it is.

I love you all and hope that you have a wonderful week,
much love,
Elder Lawson

This is  Francis, hes the grounds keeper of the mission home. He is the most faithful member I've met in Ghana hes amazing, I love him.  Every time he see's me I mean every time,  like I will see him and ten mins later I see him again and he will yell Lawson, in his powerful African accent, hes the second councilor in the branch presidency, anytime hes not working he is wearing a white shirt and tie that is his chosen attire every day everywhere he goes, he is just such a sweet man, anytime someone new comes to church he will make them feel so happy and welcome, hes powerful I love Francis.
